I’ve always been passionate about growing food and sharing the joy of fresh, homegrown produce. My vision is simple: to make gardening easy, rewarding, and accessible for everyone – whether you’re tending a balcony pot, a backyard veggie patch, or a family garden.

At Leaf and Lore, we deliver healthy, spray-free seedlings right to your door in the Waikato. Our plants are carefully raised from heirloom and organic seeds wherever possible, ensuring you get strong, nutrient-rich varieties that thrive in Waikato’s seasons. Each box is paired with herbs and companion flowers, helping you create a natural, balanced, and beautiful garden ecosystem.

Our history

Kernow Trees and Edible Gardens is a thriving small family business in the Waikato, dedicated to helping people create and care for their fruit trees, orchards, and edible gardens. Over the years, we’ve worked with countless clients to design, plant, and nurture productive spaces that feed families and communities.

From this foundation, Leaf and Lore was born—sparked by a simple love: planting a seed and watching it grow into nourishing food. As more people began asking not only for tips but also for strong, healthy seedlings, we saw a need for a service that delivered both: heirloom, organic plants and the guidance to grow them well.

What began as an extension of Kernow’s work has grown into its own community-focused offering—connecting people with the knowledge, confidence, and seedlings they need to enjoy their own fresh harvests at home.

At the heart of both Kernow and Leaf and Lore is the same belief: good food starts with good care for the soil, the seasons, and the plants we nurture.
